Mission Statement
 

The Web Site is a twelve step effort of District 80, of Alcoholics Anonymous. Layout and design is the work of the Web Site committee. Site content is voted upon by the site committee.

This statement is web site policy based upon the voted consciences of the Web Site committee. We, the Web Site committee wish:
 

1. To communicate what Alcoholics Anonymous is to the visitor and to do so in a simple way. Hence, the content being the Preamble and the external links to the General Service Offices of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Grapevine. 
   
    
2. To direct visitors to meeting places by providing group names, addresses of meeting places, and current meeting schedules.

  Administration  
 

The Web Administrator email addresses will not closely resemble the names of the web administrator so anonymous email addresses will be set up. There will always be two persons with access to the Web Administrator mailbox on the web site (the Administrator and the Alternate Administrator).  

No one individual will hold the site's accounts or domain. The site and domain are owned by www.aawnc80.org, District 80. Site administrators are listed with the Host Server as District 80. Passwords are easily changed.  The Web Site Administrator, the Alternate Web Site Administrator and the Programmer, will  have passwords until a rotation or problem arises.  Billing will be to District 80, and mailed to current District 80 Treasurer.  When service positions rotate, password changes are all that is required to pass the web site on.

The web site, http://www.aawnc80.org,  will post the telephone numbers of answering services and hotlines serving District 80. The web site will NOT post individual names, private email addresses or personal phone numbers.

All groups represented will be registered groups with a group service number from G.S.O.  This is done through the District 80 Registrar only.  Remember, this site belongs to all groups in District 80.

All/any changes to the group: meeting time, location, type, GSR, Alternate GSR,  must be submitted to the Web Site Administrator by the group GSR or Alternate GSR by either E-mail or directly by telephone (no messages).

    Financial responsibility is that of District 80.
